Before I get to my project, the release is now live in the shop and there is a huge special promotion:

Orders $50 or more will also get our 3×3 Kind One Senti-mini stamp set in addition to the sprinkles and die. Orders totaling $99 or more get all three of those items plus the Kind one die set.

Now to the project- I wanted to make an extra special crazy- kind of interactive card: a shaker card with a diy reveal wheel in one!  The lovely “Oracle Octopus” stamp and die set lent itself so well to this idea, since there are several images to place in the oracle globe.

CBK#4

To make the card:

  1. I die cut an A2 panel size from colored cardstock and a circle (3 inch diameter) from plain cardstock. I placed the oracle octopus on the front and the circle on the back of the panel to figure out how to leave enough room for the circle to rotate and still have enough room for a shaker background.  Once I had figured this out, I fussy cut part of the panel off to allow for the shaker background, but so that the reveal wheel was hidden.  I left enough room to place double-sided foam pieces around the circle to not hinder the movement of the wheel and continued around the border (pieces were about 1/4 inch in size).  I added a piece of acetate to the foam and then the top panel on top. This created an area to contain the confetti (Caribbean Ocean Confetti Mix).
  2. I cut a 5 and 1/8 inch by 1 and 1/2 inch panel which was heat embossed with sand embossing powder (from Hero Arts).  I stamped several images on the circle and copic colored them.  Finally I stamped, die cut and copic colored each of the images on Neenah solar white cardstock and placed them as shown on the image.

  1. Cute card! It took me awhile to see how you turned the reveal wheel. I totally missed the spot on the bottom.
