Miss Ink Stamps

Going Mad Card

CBK2-May 3

Today I’m using several new stamp sets from Miss Ink, along with one older stamp set!  This A2 card uses the Alice, Forest Path, Wonderland Wisdom and Woodgrain Background stamp sets.

To make the card, I die cut a slimline scalloped panel (Trinity Stamps) and adjusted it to be on an A2 card.  First I stamped the Woodgrain Background stamp in walnut stain distress oxide ink, masked the hole, and then I ink blended brushed corduroy over the entire stamped image and added walnut stain ink at the edges.  I colored the hole with 2 Stampin Up ink blending markers in light and dark crumb cake.  The cheshire cat from the Wonderland Wisdom stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink, heat embossed with Gina K white embossing powder and then the teeth were colored in with a white gel pen as seen below.

The card panel was ink blended with both walnut stain and brushed corduroy distress ink. I fussy cut all the images from the Alice and Forest Path stamp sets and ran a black copic marker around all the edges to give them a finished look.  I used W0, W00, R35 and R22 for the rabbit, Y21, YR21, B63 and E00 for Alice and E37 and YG67 for the sign post.  I hope that this will inspire you to look for using older sets with newer ones!

Thank you for stopping by!

I Appreciate You Coffee Card

Hi everyone, this is Christine and I am so happy to be guesting on the CLC this month!  I have been a part of the CLC FB group and CLC card exchange group for almost a year- if you haven’t visited the FB group, please do- it is so much fun! I have been so inspired by CLC DT designer Amanda’s use of the new Trinity Stamps “Let The Good Times Roll” stamp set that I was determined to make a coffee card using it for my first guest post.  Because let’s face it, any critter paired with coffee is even more adorable, right?

I love my projects to have some glittery or metallic effects, so first I cut out a bunch of rainbows from Memory Box glitter paper using the Trinity Stamps Rainbow Die set.  I decided to keep it to 5 colors rather than six and merely separated each rainbow into parts and taped 5 pieces together as you’ll see on the finished card.

I die cut the coffee mug card base using the Trinity Stamps Coffee Mug Card Die set and then embossed the front with the Trinity Stamps Starry Skies Coverplate Die set, and ink blended with spun sugar Distress Oxide Ink to create a muted pink background.  I added some pink sequins to highlight certain stars.  Finally I die cut and copic colored the sentiment and images from the Trinity Stamps So Appreciative stamp & die set, Let the Good Times Roll stamp & die set and the coffee mug from the Dir-Tea Bunny Stamp & die set.

I copic colored the sentiment with R20 and R00 and added white gel pen highlights.  I used R20, R00, W3,W00, Y11, BG10 and BV01 on the unicorn. I’ve shown a close-up of the unicorn above to show that I added glitter paste with a paintbrush to the unicorn, just to add a bit more sparkle.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Hope you will have a fun and caffeine-filled day!
