Hello there, Christine here. I have an interactive, easel Easter Card using products that I got from Super Sponsor Ellen Hutson (Poppy Stamps), Simon Says Stamp (Avery Elle) and Lawn Fawn. I added a coffee cup in the Easter Basket, which would be the perfect Easter Basket for me (chocolate & coffee).
First I die cut the basket from woodgrain cardstock (I used what I had in my stash) using the Poppy Stamps Woven Basket Pop Up Easel die set. I also cut the 2 piece card base and the basket outline, the leaves and the bow from the same die set using cardstock I had in my stash (I sort by color and don’t have the brand names). I ink blended some distress oxide ink in gathered twigs on the outer edges of the basket to create some depth. I assembled the card and put a stopper on the card (as seen below) so that the bottom part of the easel had something to catch on to when the card is opened.
I stamped and die cut the coffee cup using the Avery Elle Cool Beans stamp & die set out of 110lb Neenah cardstock in solar white and stamped and die cut the coffee sleeve onto kraft paper. I die cut the Easter eggs using the Lawn Fawn Mini Easter Eggs die set all out of 110lb Neenah cardstock in solar white and then ink blended either distress oxide ink in scattered straw or flamingo kitsch; I put some glitter paste over some of the pieces of the die cut eggs.
Finally I stamped and die cut some adorable bunnies from the Lawn Fawn Easter Before ‘n Afters stamp & die set. I kept the coloring really simple, I used copic marker R20 for the egg and Stampin Up markers in Dark & Light Crumbcake for the bunnies themselves. Finally I stamped a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Easter Before ‘n Afters stamp set onto a banner die cut that I had in my stash.

Hello there, Christine here with a card showing one of the backgrounds I made using the Art Deco stencil and a gel press. The background I made for the card felt almost like the Northern Lights, so I added some images from the Oh Deer stamp set to create a finished scene.
Here is a video showing the entire process and lots of ideas how to use stencils with a gel press- I just had a lot of fun, didn’t think too much and created a lot of backgrounds.
I used a 5×7 gel press with a number of distress oxide inks including: faded jeans, broken china, speckled egg, bundled sage, shaded lilac and rustic wilderness. I splotched the color directly onto the gel press, used a roller over it to spread out the color, placed the Art Deco stencil on top and then pressed some 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock on top.
Did you know that you can do embossing with stencils as well? Once I made one print after removing the stencil, I put the stencil itself (that had color from the gel press on it) onto another piece of cardstock and ran that through my die cutting machine. Just make sure to rinse everything (roller, gel press and stencil) off with some warm water in between each background!
I chose one background for the card that I had created with faded jeans, broken china, speckled egg distress oxide inks and some Couture Creations Glitter Paste. To finish the card, I colored some images Oh Deer stamp set that I had die cut with my Brother CutNScan2 with some simple copic coloring. The star of the show is definitely the glittery background made with the Art Deco stencil.
Hello there, Christine here. Today I have a very cozy coffee card using products from Super Sponsor Trinity Stamps and Simon Says Stamps. I love the stamp the Puppy’s Quilt stamp from artist Anita Jeram and the Colorado Craft Company because it not only is such a sweet scene, but reminds me of my two sweet dogs.
First I die cut a card base with the Trinity Stamps Coffee Mug Card die set out of 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock. I then stamped the image from the Puppy’s Quilt stamp set with copic friendly ink from Lawn Fawn (crunchy leaf). I kept the copic coloring simple and mostly wanted the sweet pup to be the star of the show. The puppy was colored with E44, W0 and W3. The wallpaper was colored with R20 and R32. The quilt was colored with V22, V20, G28, G24, R14, YR21. The coffee was colored with E31 & E34.
I used a sentiment from one of the Simon Says Stamps Sentiment Strips to finish up the card. I hope you like the card- thank you so much for stopping by.
Hello there, Christine here wishing you a very Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m here with a card that I made for the Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop (Miss Ink Stamps is a sponsor!). I wanted to make a sunshine and rainbow card using a happy little critter, so I took my favorite Miss Ink stamp set Punny Farm Goats and made the sunshine with the Floral Stained Glass stencil and simply added lots of butterflies!
To make the card, I ink blended scattered straw distress oxide ink over the stencil and then immediately added glitter paste over it (Frosty Sparkle, Couture Creations). I die cut papers that matched the color palette from the hop (except for the blue) and clouds using a die set from Trinity Stamps (Slimline Rainbow Builder die set). I spent quite a bit of time making everything fit nicely on the A2 card. I added some B000 copic outline to the clouds.
I added color changing butterflies, Dazzle Butterflies, and made a slanted photo above, so that you can see the color shift. I also added some pink Watercolor Butterflies to highlight the sentiment that I used from the Hippo Hooray stamp set. Finally, I added my beloved happy little goat from the Punny Farm Goats stamp set and colored him simply with W0 and W3.
Hello there, Christine here with a slimline that could not only be sent for Valentine’s Day, but would really work for anytime you want to send someone a paper hug! I’ve combined some new Trinity products such as the Intertwined Hearts die with some older ones like the WallFlower stamp & die, but I think they work so well together.
To create the card, I first die cut the smallest slimline panel from the Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set out of 110lb cardstock (Neenah Solar White) and a larger slimline panel out of the same cardstock with the Slimline Series Quilted Cover die. I recently pulled out my Gel Press- it is so much fun to create inked panels! I smooshed 3 different distress oxide inks (picked raspberry, kitsch flamingo and spun sugar) onto the gel press as shown below. I mostly put spun sugar and kitsch flamingo with some little dabs of picked raspberry.
I then used the brayer 3 times back and forth to make sure the ink spread out as shown below.
I then turned over the smaller slimline panel and pressed it firmly onto the gel press. You have to do this several times over the same slimline panel to make sure it is evenly covered (gel press as shown above is smaller in length then the slimline panel, but it is larger in width).
I then sprayed some Lawn Fawn liquid stardust with a paintbrush and set it aside to dry. The effect of the liquid stardust and the gel press is very subtle in this instance- you can see some variation below in the photo.
I then set to creating a scene and sentiment on the slimline. I die cut the sentiment from the Sending Hugs die set out of gold cardstock and glued it a little off-center. I die cut pink cardstock and vellum with the Intertwined Hearts die to create a delicate frame for the flowers and leaves I used from the WallFlower stamp & die set. The flowers were colored very simply with R20 and R00 copics and the leaves with G28 and G24- I just wanted them to form more of the background than stand out too much. I stamped and die cut the mice with the Mouse House stamp & die and colored with Stampin Up markers (I don’t have the shades in copics). Finally I added some Gorgeous Golden Baubles to bring more gold color on the card and make the eye move all over the card.

Hello there, Christine here. I’m sharing a slimline card that was made with non-slimline stamps to show you that you can stretch your stamps to get the look that you want on your card. I used the Springtime Banners, Woodgrain Background, Little Angel and the Have Heart stamp sets.
First I die cut a slimline heart panel (Trinity Stamps) onto a piece of 110lb Neenah Solar White Cardstock and made an impression of the same heart panel onto another piece of the same type of cardstock.
For the die cut panel, I first ink blended tea dye distress ink over the entire panel. I then placed the inked panel in my stamp positioner and stamped the Woodgrain Background twice with Over Coffee ink (Catherine Pooler) as seemlessly as I could (you will see on the photo below that it doesn’t match up completely). This is totally ok though, I knew that I would simply cover it up with elements afterwards.
For the embossed heart panel that is shown underneath the woodgrain panel, I first ink blended the entire panel with spun sugar distress oxide ink. Since I had impression of where each heart needed to be, this served as my guide to stamping the wooden heart image with the Have Heart stamp. I then covered the entire area with Versamark Ink and heat embossed a new embossing powder from WOW called Halo (Catherine Pooler)- it allows you to make any color underneath glittery! I took another photo so you could see the shine.
Finally to finish up the card I die cut a bunch of images from the Springtime Banners colored with different copics. I used E31 & E34 for the birds & nest, YG63, YG61, G28 & G24 for the greens, R20 for the berries. I added a die cut sentiment from the Little Angel stamp set, which I think was perfect for the card. I then simply added a few heart embellishments (Trinity Stamps) to tie the card together and done!
