I love Peter Rabbit. Thoughts of him bring me right back to my childhood, listening to my mom tell me all about Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-tail and the naughty Peter. Well, Peter is not naughty in this stamp set- he is perfectly adorable! Today I have a card using the new stamp set “MacGregor’s Garden”, a nod to Peter Rabbit, from Hello Bluebird. I also used their Gallery Die Frame #1 to provide a framework for the card.
The Gallery Die Frame #1 comes with a “hello” die, and a die set of stars, flowers & hearts. I used the flower die cut to cut out flowers from various colored cardstocks, including a lovely bronze cardstock. The frame was cut from a sunny yellow Hero Arts paper pack. I stamped & die cut the rabbit & birds and added a little bit of copic coloring to brighten their appearance.
Prior to assembling the card, I first used a new Ranger Distress Blending brush to add some distress oxide broken china for the sky. I am so pleased with how easy it is to add color with the new brushes- they work like a dream! Much easier to add than using the Ranger foam applicators!
Assembling the card came so naturally and easily, I simply used foam squares to make the birds & rabbit stand out and used double adhesive tape for all the rest. Thanks for stopping by!
