Reveal wheel inside a shadow box- Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #32

Today I am featuring a card I made for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge #32.  I was having a bad week, so I just decided that a crazy card idea might help pull me out of a funk.

I decided to put part of the reveal wheel inside a shadowbox.  I loved the idea of happy aquatic creatures diving into the ocean.  I die cut circle part of the reveal wheel out of acetate (normally this circle would be hidden and would display the sentiments as it is turned).  I cut the part where one would stamp the sentiments completely off, so that it would fit into the shadow box.

Here are the 3 diving creatures in their full glory- aren’t they cute?

There is nothing else special about this card- everything was die cut from the Lawn Fawn Shadowbox die & ocean add-ons as well as from the Lawn Fawn Sublime stamp set.

Thank you for visiting! Have a great day!

I played around with my shimmer watercolors and a lovely new stamp set from Trinity Stamps.  One of my favorite card makers is Kay Miller (her blog is here), her colors are so vibrant, she picks absolutely stunning color palettes and her cards are just amazing!  I have wanted to do a card like hers for a while now, so I finally plucked up the courage to do so and it was absolutely enjoyable!  I had so much fun just placing random splotches of watercolor in the background, while trying to keep it cohesive.  While this attempt is not even close to her talented cards, I enjoyed the process and will definitely try it again!

Fairies & Flowers

The latest Lawn Fawnatics challenge (#31) was a difficult one!  The challenge asked for use of florals & foliage, something I have very little of, stamp-wise, from Lawn Fawn.

So I used Lawn Fawn’s Fairy Friends stamp set combined with their Easter Egg Die cuts (that has a section of small flower die cuts) to create a scene.
