Painting the Roses Red Card

CBKApr19-2

Hi there, Christine here.  I have a small interactive card to share today that uses the Painting the Roses stamp set, Queen of Hearts stamp set, the Pick a Card Stencil with some Roses are Red embellishments sprinkled on the front.

I first ink blended brick red distress oxide ink over the stencil onto Neenah 110 lb cardstock and then spread glitter paste over the same area.  It takes a while to dry, I left it  for most of the day to dry.  I then cut up the cardstock so that it would fit on the front of the card.

I spent a lot of time coloring the images with copic markers.  I essentially kept the tones of red by using R46, R22 and R35, blending them with care and then adding some white gel pen marks. I colored the grass and bushes with YG61 & YG67 and the paint cans with N2 & N4. The inside of the card has the bushes attached with some tabs and I adhered everything with double sided adhesive tape.  The roses were adhered with Gina K connect glue.
